Fully Vaccinated Passengers
Fully vaccinated passengers do not have to present a COVID-19 test result.
Important: Vaccinated passengers who received one dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) due to recovery from COVID-19 must present a positive COVID-10 test result, in order to be considered fully vaccinated. Passengers must present proof of vaccination - The certificate/document may be requested at different points of the trip. Passengers must ensure they meet the requirements to be considered fully vaccinated previously described.
NOT vaccinated/NOT fully vaccinated passengers
Before arrival
All not vaccinated/ not fully vaccinated passengers have to present a COVID-19 test result. There are several testing options available for passengers traveling to Germany.
OPTION 1: Negative test taken 48 hours before departure or arrival
- Test type accepted: Antigen, NAAT, RT-PCR, PCR, POC-PCR, RT- LAMP, LAMP, or TMA.
- Time window: 48 hours before departure.
- Applicable age: Travelers aged 12 years and older.
- Languages accepted: English, French, German, Italian or Spanish. An official translation to any of these languages is also accepted.
- Keep in mind:
- The time window of the test is counted from the time of swabbing.
- The sample collection of the test may not be older than 48 hours before departure in cases of PCR COVID-19 test results. Antigen tests must not be taken more than 48 hours before the (scheduled) time of arrival in Germany.
- Results may be in either paper or electronic form.
- Passengers who do not comply will be denied boarding on their flight to Germany.
- Exceptions:
- Passengers transiting through Germany to another non-Schengen Member State.

Currently, there are no connecting restrictions for Singapore with regard to COVID-19 regulations.
However, travelers who transit in Changi must have their checked-in luggage tagged through from the origin airport to their final destination. Travelers interested in connecting through Changi Airport should consult their airline on the options available.
Important: Connecting flights in Singapore to Hong Kong SAR is not allowed due to operational considerations. Services from Hong Kong to Singapore remain unaffected, and passengers originating from Hong Kong are allowed to transfer through Singapore Changi Airport en-route to their final destinations.
