    Hallo Philippinenfreude!


    Laut Werbeplakat wurden die Fluege von drei auf zwei woechentlich gekuerzt.
    Ich denke die machen nicht soviel Verlust da sie vom "Thunderbird Resort" gesponsert werden,die uebernehmen die Kosten fuer einen Teil der Sitzplaetze.
    Sollte es Neues geben werde ich mich wieder melden.

    Das konnte man voraussehen. Das sind sogenannte "Missionary" Routes und diese koennen nur aufgebaut werden wenn es "Sponsoren" gibt, die eine Sitzplatzgarantie abgeben zu einem bestimmten Preis.


    Sobald diese Sitzplatzgarantie weg ist dann ist auch die Strecke wieder weg.

    Steht eigentlich wo geschrieben was man an Gepaeck,Kg.,mitnehmen kann?
    Es wurde schon der Versuch unternommen das sich die Resortbetreiber zusammentun und das Flugzeug sponsern,was ja bestimmt nicht so teuer waere,aber wie sooft kam keine Einigung zustande.

    SEAIR expects to outpace local airline sector in sales growth


    SOUTHEAST Asian Airlines, Inc. (SEAIR) expects both passenger volume and sales to grow by a fifth this year, a recovery from the economic downturn in 2009, an executive said.


    New routes and an uptick in demand should drive growth, SEAIR Vice-President for Commercial Affairs Patrick Tan told BusinessWorld in a chance interview.


    Performance in the first quarter was the best since 2007. We expect at least 20% growth in [passenger volume] and revenue in 2010, Mr. Tan said.


    This increase will be higher than the industry average, he claimed, as the carrier serves a niche market of luxury leisure travellers.


    The projection is upbeat as the airline is coming from a low base in 2009 when the industry felt the full force of the global economic downturn which first hit in late 2008, Mr. Tan said without elaborating.


    Flag carrier Philippine Airlines, for instance, is expected to report a net loss for the fiscal year that ended March 31. Cebu Pacific, meanwhile, has projected a 15% growth in passengers to 10 million for 2010 after recording a 30% increase last year.


    SEAIRs launch of three more routes within the year will also boost sales, Mr. Tan said, declining to specify the additional destinations.


    Already, SEAIR covers 13 domestic destinations including Boracay island gateway Caticlan, which accounts for the bulk of sales, and Batanes, which enjoys fast-growing demand, Mr. Tan said. The other local destinations are Manila, Clark, El Nido, Baler, Tablas, Busuanga, Borongan, Taytay, Zamboanga, Jolo and Tawi-Tawi.


    SEAIR also flies one international route to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.

    Heute morgen mit einem sehr guten Freund des Managers von Thunderbird gesprochen. Aktuelle Information von vor ein paar Tagen:


    Thunderbird garantiert 14 der 19 Plätze auf den Fliegern und musste bisher so gut wie nie zuzahlen.
    Eventuell würde es sich sogar lohnen, die Flüge gleich ganz selbst durchzuführen....
    Ausserdem ist vor allem nördlich von SFLU, also San Juan, eine Aufwärtsbewegung zu spüren, schlägt sich u.a. in den Grundstückspreisen nieder. Bald wird am Surfstrand von San Juan ein neues Vier-Sterne-Haus eröffnen, das wird den gesamten Ort mitziehen.

    Es steht bestimmt irgendwo, aber kann jemand mir bitte noch mal sagen, wie der Transfer von den Europaflügen zu den Lokalflügen abläuft? Also, Ankunft welches Terminal und dann Koffer wohin schleppen usw.


    Konkret bin ich dann auf der Suche nach einer Verbindung aus Frankfurt, welche relativ angenehm mit dem 10 Uhr Flug von Manila nach SFLU mit SEAIR zu verbinden ist.
