Nachdem eigentlich alles schon abgeklät und wir schon per Email die Bestätigung bekommen hatten, erreichte mich heute folgende Nachrricht:

Dear Sir / Madam,

We have received your marriage application and the US$ demand draft.

However, we cannot proceed to exhibit your notice at this stage because the payee of the bank draft submitted is "THE GOVERNMENT OF THE HONG KONG SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE REGION MARRIAGE REGISTRATION AND RECORDS OFFICE". The redundant "MARRIAGE REGISTRATION AND RECORDS OFFICE" in the payee field of the bank draft renders payment of your case not possible.

The following two solutions are suggested:

1) It is suggested that you prepare another bank draft in amount of Hong Kong Dollar 305 payable to "THE GOVERNMENT OF THE HONG KONG SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE REGION" and send it to us by speed mail. OR:

2) Please arrange a local representative to pay HK$305 on your behalf in cash at our office as soon as possible by providing the contact details of this representative to facilitate this arrangement.

Your case is now being withheld until the above is resolved.

Time is running short for you. Please note that statutory requirement of 15 calendar days of exhibition of marriage notice before the date of marriage. It is likely that time is NOT enough for your proposed date of marriage on 19, 25 March 2015. Please provide us some later dates of marriage for our prior preparation of your case.

Ich bin echt ratlos und weiss so langsam nicht mehr was ich noch machen soll.

Ich habe nicht mehr die Möglichkeit einen 2 Bank Draft ausstellen zu lassen und ich kenne auch niemanden in Hongkong. Hat vielleicht noch irgend jemand eine spontane Idee? Andernfalls war es das mit der Hochzeit für mich.

meine Verlobte und ich haben den großen Wunsch in Hong Kong zu heiraten. Eine Anforderung sind dafür 305Hkdollar. Ein kürzlich gesendeter Bank Draft (Scheck) wurde zu unserem Bedauern für ungültig erklärt. Unser Wunschtermin ist schon sehr bald und die Zeit rennt... Uns wurde nahegelegt eine Person in Hong Kong ausfindig zu machen, welche für uns so nett wäre, die 305Hkdollar persönlich zum Marriage Office vorzubringen.

Also das Forum hier ist wirklich meine letzte Rettung.
Konnte innerhalb von kürzester Zeit einen Kontakt finden, welcher mir morgen das benötigte Geld zum Marriage Office bringt.

Ich weiß, ich habe kein Fettnäpfchen ausgelassen aber jetzt bin ich einfach nur erschöpft und platt. Es würde für mich fast an ein Wunder grenzen wenn wir morgen wirklich unser lang ersehntes Hochzeitsdatum bekommen würden Ich bin zumindest wieder positiv

Nach vielen Rückschlägen und unzähligen Fettnäpfchen sind wir froh verkündigen zu können dass unser Hochzeitstermin bestätigt worden ist.

Auch zur letztendlichen Gewissheit war es für uns ungemein wichtig dass Dino nochmal für uns beim Marriage Office gewesen ist und für uns alles abgesichert hat. Wenn auch anders als erwartet.

Both of you, please come together to our office at 3/F.,Low Block,
Queensway Road Government Offices, 66 Queensway Road, Hong Kong
(counter 20) within office hours ON or BEFORE 16 March 2015
bringing along with the following original documents:

1) Both of your original travel documents (the ones used during your most recent arrival clearance to enter Hong Kong); and
2)The print-out of this confirmation letter;

for completion of outstanding formalities. I would like to remind
you that you need to bring two witnesses above the age of 18 with
their original travel documents and fees (HK$715) on your wedding
day.

Our office hour: Monday to Friday 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. (As time
is required for completion of formalities, you may wish to attend

Please note that our office will not be opened during the public
holidays.

P.S. Please note that the travel documents copies of the marrying parties submitted for this application should conform with the travel documents that the marrying parties will be using to enter Hong Kong. Concerning the time of marriage ceremony, it is subject to the availability of
the remaining time slots. You may wish to know that we shall normally allot your
ceremony time to the first available time slot(starting from 9:30 in a.m. or 2:15 in p.m.)
of the day.

Thank you very much for arranging your local representative to visit our office around noon today in an attempt to pay the fee HK$305 of your case. However, by the time of his visit, your case has been processed with the bank draft prepared in Germany (and hence we can send this confirmation letter for you now). Therefore, your local representative DID NOT pay any money to us (as it does not need to for the time being). The only risk for your case now is the possibility of notification of "dishonoured bank draft" from the bank (though by experience it is rare). And should "dishonoured bank draft" happen, you then need to find another local representative to pay for the required fee at our office by cash within 2 working days of notice. On the other hand, "no news is good news" if you hear no further news on your case from us.
